Spies shines in Assen

Assen - Start from the second position, Ben Spies finally came out as the fastest in Assen circuit on Saturday, June 25th 2011, with a time of 41.44 659. The results of this Dutch MotoGP is the first victory, in which a second podium this season, for the Yamaha rider.

Spies take advantage of the fall of the pole position holder Marco Simoncelli on the first lap, which also involves his team-mate, Jorge Lorenzo. With the fall of the Super Sic, the American took over the race until the last lap.

Spies become a winner in Assen after performing consistently over the course of the race until the last lap, 7.697 seconds faster than Casey Stoner who took the runner-up position. Meanwhile, the third position is occupied by other Repsol Honda rider Andrea Dovizioso, with 27.506 seconds slower than the winner. Read the rest of this entry »

Conquering Silverstone, Stoner Go to the Top

Silverstone – Casey Stoner came out as champion at the British Grand Prix series 2011. The victory was well entrenched as to make the drivers standings while replacing Jorge Lorenzo on Sunday, June 12th 2011.

Stoner started the race with less smooth. At the start, his position was successfully stolen by Jorge Lorenzo. Even he must then compete with the Honda team mate Andrea Dovizioso for a place behind the world champion.

The overtaking continues to occur in the early races. Lorenzo failed to maintain his place on the first lap after overtaken by three riders at a time, i.e. Dovizioso, Stoner and Marco Simoncelli.

On the fourth lap, Stoner showed his maturity by successfully steals the race leader from Dovizioso. After that, the former Ducati rider appeared fairly constant so that he can no longer be pursued by its competitors to the finish line. Stoner dominated the Catalunya Grand Prix

BARCELONA – Repsol Honda rider Casey Stoner dominated the fifth series of the MotoGP 2011 season, after being the fastest at the Circuit de Catalunya on Sunday, June 5th 2011.

The race atmosphere was not so high. As known, the home rider Dani Pedrosa was forced to miss due to a serious injury on his right shoulder. At the last French Grand Prix in May 15th, the Repsol Honda rider had an incident with Honda Gresini’s Marco Simoncelli.

Being the fastest in the qualifying session, Simoncelli has the right to start the race at Circuit de Catalunya from pole position. But as race flag was unfurled, Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo, who started at third position, led the race directly after the first corner. The Repsol Honda rider: Casey Stoner and Lorenzo team-mates: Ben Spies was following in second and third. But not last long, Stoner immediately took over and led the race at least until lap nine.
